Wu Zetian

Overview

Supreme Empress in the capital of Chang'an, never forgets her cursed fate and the dream of a ideal nation. As a genius sorceress, she first revealed her power at fourteen, and was presented to the court by a sycophantic local official. Due to the cautionary tale of Mi Yue, her beauty and destructive magic caught the royal family's attention, confining her to a temple. The naive young girl felt anger and pain from the unfair treatment. However, an anonymous prophet approached her in the temple, revealing her future destiny and the secrets of ancient demonic paths. Wu Zetian was instantly captivated by the unprecedented knowledge. The old man asked her to swear to use her strength and position to fight against demonic races, as he foresaw his own mortality and needed a puppet to prevent their return. As prophesied, after the late emperor ascended the throne, he fell in love with Wu Zetian upon visiting the temple and brought her back to the palace. Upon leaving the temple, Wu Zetian orchestrated a clever and satisfying revenge. She provided strategies and counsel, helping the new emperor protect Chang'an from bloodthirsty clans, gathering able ministers like DI RENJIE and Li Jing. She became the embodiment of greatness and light. Her subjects, who admired strength, quickly adored her. After the late emperor's death, she ascended to the throne as the Empress of the Empire. Her ambition grew strong enough to refuse being manipulated by corrupt elders and become their puppet. She secretly made a pact with a summoner, borrowing more power. On that day, she invited the old man back. As soon as he entered the temple, he was attacked. Unfazed, he was a primordial mage, one of the strongest heroes in the world. But with the summoner's help, Wu Zetian summoned the brightest light ever seen, a force from the defeated and deeply hated Demon King that was even purer. The Demon King was dead, but his ideal continued to circulate among earthly kings through the summoner's hands. Such an unwavering ideal proved even too much for the old man who had lived for ages. He never expected his prophecy would come true in his most proud student. The old man was sealed away and fell into a long sleep. The Empress' power reached its peak. She discovered the old man's remaining texts, learning of another world far away. Satan, known as the Demon King, ruled over dark minions and plotted to devour the Eastern World. The old man spent his life pursuing prevention of the end of the world at the hands of demons. The Empress wore a mocking smile. If demons could conquer the East, why couldn't she destroy their king first? Every king should bow down to her, regardless if they were human or demon. In the end, this realm, this world, and every king's dream of a unified ideal nation belonged to her—Wu Zetian. "Don't lower your head; the crown will fall. Don't cry; the queen will smile."
